Application Support Analyst (Microsoft, MS Server/Storage, SQL Server)£20,000 - £24,000 a year

The technology:

Obviously, the prerequisite to being an Application Support Analyst is the technology expertise you have.

Some of the essential skills you will need are:

* Microsoft Technologies

* Networking

* Virtualisation

* Server/storage infrastructure

* Helpdesk experience

Although not essential exposure to the below would be beneficial to your application:

* SQL Server Reporting Services

* Basic AIX, Unix

* Experience of working to SLA's

* Knowledge of ITIL

* PowerShell skills (Scripting / Applications)This is primarily an Application Support role where you will be providing remote technical support from incident resolution to escalation and call logging and working towards service level agreements (SLA's). You may also:

* Troubleshoot service outages in and out of hours

* MS Windows Server Application implementation and troubleshooting

* May investigate faults with SQL Reports and develop new SQL Server Reporting Services Reports

* Work closely with support / project teams to aid in call reduction and problem management
