Client DetailsLeading UK OrganisationDescriptionWorking with the Business Intelligence Manager, this is an excellent opportunity to join a newly formed team to lead the design of the data models for a data warehouse and development of accurate ETL data processing. Partnering with the broader business you will be instrumental in delivering enhanced Business Intelligence to deliver strategic goals. Key Responsibilities: Responsible for the creation of systems which ensure the most effective delivery of business intelligence data (analysis, reports, dashboards) for teams across the organisation to make informed decisions on operational changes and delivering strategic goals. Design and maintain efficient data consolidations databases (Data Warehouse/Data Marts) for the use in Business Intelligence analysis, MI reporting and research analysis Develop ETL and Data Cleansing processes to ensure the usability and accuracy of data within the BI and reporting databases. Work with IT to develop data governance and data management procedures which ensure that changes to source system data have their impacts on BI databases and MI reporting accurately assessed. Build strong business relationships with stakeholders in various project / departments to gather insight and translate needs into business requirements. Advise the IT Enterprise Development Manager and / or other Senior Managers on database integrity issues. Advise and assist IT Enterprise Development Manager on data management procedures for governance, capture, transfer, ETL and change management. Raise change requests to IT for updates to Operational Systems on behalf of business stakeholder to improve data capture and data management. Effectively manage a prioritised backlog of ETL and data development to deliver in a managed development lifecycle, to release fully tested developments into the live environments. Key Skills: Good understanding with the full agile software development lifecycle and development models Understand database architectures and will have good modelling and design skills. In depth experience of methods and tools relating to ETL / SSIS / data warehousing Exposure to visual business intelligence tools such as Tableau is desirable Experience in creating data warehouse data mapping documents, database dimensional models (using dimensional modelling) and associated ETL SQL applications Have experience of tools supporting the development process including both 3rd party and in house developed utilities. This should include experience of SQL Server Management Studio, SSRS and source control. Can successfully analyse database and ETL performance issues and applied required performance tuning techniques to improve performance.
