An opportunity for an Embedded Software Engineer is now available for a company based in West Yorkshire. The company have just secured a brand new project with a high profile client within the transport sector. This role is part of an expansion of their current R&D where you will be involved in the full software product lifecycle. Your role within the software team will involve leasing with the Low Power Electronics Engineers as well as Mechanical to ensure products are delivered on time and to budget as well as the second phase of some of the products.The company have a global presence and are committed to ensuring that their product are energy efficient around the globe. They are also able to look at flexible working if needed. Responsibilities:Design & implement software of embedded devices & systems, from concept through to production & deployment.Document and Test Software systems according to the required standards.Interface with hardware design and development.Required Experience:3+ years' in C software development in an embedded environment.ARM Cortex microcontrollers (e.g. STM32) and familiar with using peripherals such as ADC, PWM, I2C & SPI.Familiarity with software configuration management tools, defect tracking tools and peer code review.Comfortable working to coding guidelines.RTOS (such as Zephyr) other RTOS is also applicable.Ethernet & CAN.HTML, CSS & JavaScript, ideally in an Embedded Web Server environment (Desirable)Python Scripting (Desirable) I appreciate that you may not have all the skills listed above but if you feel you are suitable I would like to hear from you after all there are some skills that are far more important than others and I am happy to go through in further detail with you.
