This company is recruiting 1st / 2nd line support engineers to join their Service Desk Team, supporting clients nationwide with Cloud based solutions. They provide multi-source managed service solutions, bringing together a portfolio of companies with a range of complimentary services, covering IT Managed Services, Cloud Solutions, Unified Communications, Mobility, Connectivity, Security and Strategic Consultancy. The Candidate:

To be successful in this position you will have excellent spoken and written English, a great work ethic, an organised way of working and you should be keen to learn and keep up with emerging technologies.

you will have a strong understanding of IT networking terminology and extensive knowledge of MS Windows, MS Office and general PC hardware, combined with some work experience within an IT department. You will report to the Customer Experience Manager who will ensure you are fully supported.

Key Responsibilities & Skills:

  • Confident approach to communicating with users via telephone and e-mail
  • Experience with telephony including VOIP advantageous
  • Providing desktop support to users
  • Providing support to Microsoft 365 users
  • Providing e-mail support and DaaS/IaaS support to users in VMWare environment
  • Maintaining and handling of PC software/hardware
  • Maintaining an adequate level of knowledge of operating systems and application software being used to provide high levels of support to users
  • Being responsible for the configuration and installation/deployment of workstations
  • Assisting in troubleshooting for printers, photocopiers and phone systems
  • Participating in team meetings, providing input and suggestions
  • Managing competing priorities and own workload, such as scheduled weekly tasks and responding proactively to IT tickets
  • Assisting in research and gathering of information on equipment, software and supplies as needed
  • Management of hardware servicing and repairs
  • Any other duties as required in order to undertake your role effectively
  • Knowledge of AutoTask/Datto RMM is desirable but not essential
  • Updating the Knowledgebase regularly to ensure it is current
  • Happy to help when other areas may require your attention
  • Confident in communicating with staff at all levels
  • Used to working to process & adhering to service level agreements
  • Pro-active and responsible
  • There will be project work that will involve working with senior team members to complete
  • Your working hours will be on a 7am-7pm rota
  • There are site visits that occur every week, and remote working (this may include out of hours)
