HR Service Desk Support Officer

One of our Birmingham City Centre clients is looking for a HR Service Desk Support Officer to join their team on a 3 month FTC basis. You will be expected to provide a general HR Service Desk support, transactional processing, and administrative support service to the People Services Centre so that the team's output meets all relevant internal service standards and measures and statutory requirements.

HR Service Desk Support Officer duties will include, but not limited to:

* Handle routine queries from internal staff related to transactional processing and administration, in line with all required service standards and procedures and statutory requirements, or directing callers to the appropriate person in the event of a misdirected call.

* Carry out People Service Centre transactional processing duties related to for example, employee records, resignations, personal detail changes, sickness absence entries, accident reports, maternity leave and handle routine queries from internal staff and third parties.

* As directed by the HR Service Desk Team Leader, maintain up to date and complete records and information as required by HR so that HR management can be delivered properly and regulatory compliance is achieved.

As the HR Service Desk Support Officer, you will be required to possess:

* Previous experience working within a HR Service Desk/clerical/administrative environment previously

* Experience working with different IT systems and databases

* Previous experience working within a shared service/customer contact centre environment

* Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills

* Demonstrable experience of effective relationship management

* Proven experience with customer service

With a salary on offer of up to £21,000 this is a fantastic opportunity to gain more exposure within a HR Support environment. Please not that this is an initial 3 month FTC.
