Since 2017 the lab has significantly expanded its offering by extending water testing to the commercial heating sector.Key Responsibilities:Working with other staff in collecting, unpacking and sorting lab samples from early morningLogging and checking sample information quickly and efficientlyArranging delivery of samples for extra testing to a sub-contractorDelivering samples to on-site labs for testingFulfilling customer requirements for arranging appropriate testing of received samples and working closely with the Client Liaison team in ensuring thisThe Candidate:The work involves some technical tasks which require a high attention to detail as ensuring information is recorded accurately is crucial. The role involves early starts and weekend work so the successful candidate must be flexible, keen and comfortable with working alone under own initiative with a high degree of autonomy & maturity, and within a team. Good communication skills both verbal and written are essential as some of the role is customer facing.You will need the following skills and knowledge:Ideally some experience in a lab environment logging sample data and managing samplesHigh degree of computer literacy including the use of programmes such as Excel, Word with good spread sheet and database expertise and fast/touch typingHigh attention to detail and excellent data entry skills with minimal mistakesFriendly and personable with excellent communication skills to give professional customer serviceGood technical understanding and practicality.
