Super Senior Firmware Test Engineer / Linux Administrator now required for established global company based in Oxfordshire. This exciting Senior role offers the opportunity to combine your firmware test expertise with your Linux Administrator knowledge. Working within the Firmware Engineering team the Firmware Test Engineer will be responsible for carrying out the required Unit and Integration tests for the Firmware products including creation of Automated Test scripts.

Suitable applicants should have 2yrs plus experience of embedded C/C++ software testing expertise and ideally knowledge of automated test framework development. Your skills should include: Jenkins Test Creation (Linux based), Groovy, Python, Bash scripting. Linux as a user, Knowledge of development tools (compiler, libraries, linker, debugger etc), Knowledge of code version control, Knowledge of Computer Networks eg. TCP, DNS, Coding in C/C++ is advantageous

In addition to the Firmware Test elements of this role the applicant will also have Linux administrator duties as follows:

- ability to assemble PC components (motherboard, CPU, memory, disks, peripherals) into a chassis

- Configure BIOS settings

- Install, maintain and administer a Linux operating system
