Where you fit

We're seeking a Sourcing Business Analyst to join the new IT Engineering business - a fast-paced, responsive business that's fundamental to delivering the success of Shell IT, ensuring IT projects, programmes and products evolve in step with business needs.

You'll sit within IT Sourcing, which is a vital part of our Enterprise Resource Management (ERM) team, with a focus on selecting the right people to match business demand, allocating resources across IT Engineering, as well as leading on the processes and functional excellence across Shell IT.

The IT Sourcing Team facilitates the placement of IT contractors and IT services for multiple IT organisations within Shell. You'll be working across various functions, from Contract and Procurement to Strategy and Planning, helping to develop effective resource management processes and practices and driving insights and supporting decision making across every level of the business.

What's the role?

As a Sourcing Business Analyst, you'll truly be able to flex and stretch your strong analysis and problem-solving skills, providing expert support and insights to a wide range of IT stakeholders, team members and the ERM Leadership team, on contractor solutions. Most importantly, you'll ensure a seamless contractor sourcing experience for all our IT stakeholders.

Your talent for collaboration will see you working successfully with Shell teams in automation and cost management initiatives, gathering information from business stakeholders to best understand problems, identify opportunities and create insightful gap analysis.

The organization is expecting you'll relish balancing a broad range of projects at any one time. From developing and supporting sourcing tools and standardization initiatives for reporting processes. To providing functional support to management and participating in designing and developing reporting tools.

A range of other responsibilities will include:

  • Documenting and defining business functions and processes;
  • Managing and delivering sourcing improvement initiatives;
  • Providing pre-consultation on the sourcing process for contractor resource requirements;
  • Supporting Delivery Managers to manage the resource plan.

A key challenge of the role will be to ensure your voice is heard, confidently speaking up and intervening where necessary, as well as successfully managing global and virtual relationships across Shell. Always with an eye on driving continuous improvements across the business.

REQUIREMENTS

Alongside your business analysis expertise and an IT-related degree, the organization hopes to see some IT project delivery experience.
