User Researcher - UX Research and UAT 
Full time, 2 year contract 
Slough, Berkshire 

As a User Researcher, you will plan, design and carry out a range of activities to ensure our client's technical products and services meet the standards and needs of their users. 

Our client is a charity supporting the development of education and in the role of User Researcher, you will join the team who develop digital resource for schools. You'll be the champion in ensuring users (this being schools and teachers) are included in the designing and decision-making process of their products and services. 

You'll support the development of new products, from requirements gathering and early stage concept and prototype design and testing to ensure the user needs are fully understood in the system design. 

As well as carrying out field work, working closely with schools to gather insight, you'll also translate your findings to help the technical team understand the needs of the users via user stories, functional design and feedback from prototypes and UAT which will be the key to informing the development of new systems and refining existing ones in our client's portfolio. 

Your technical background: 
- Previous experience of managing, planning, designing user research and UAT
- Experience of conducting user interviews and observations, capturing and articulating user behaviours, needs, and motivations through observation techniques, task analysis, and other feedback methodologies
- Experience of analysing both quantitative and qualitative data to produce UX artefacts
- Understands the diversity of users and how to ensure participants are representative
- Full driving licence as you'll be visiting schools within the UK

Bonus Points: 
It goes without saying you'll be collaborative and good at building relationships, but you may have also worked in schools or have experience with primary education. 

Other organisations may call this role User Experience Researcher, UX Researcher, UAT Assistant, User Experience Project Co-ordinator, or UX Project Co-ordinator.
