Service Desk Manager (INSIDE of IR35

We are currently looking for a Service Desk Manager for a 6 month contract for a public sector company in Dundee for an immediate start. This role will be INSIDE of IR35.

The service predominantly supports all IT activities with other professional services coming on stream to adopt a more formal service management approach. The Service Desk touches between 6,000 - 8,000 tickets per month for a user base consisting of circa 3k staff and 17k users some of which are remotely based. The service also runs out of hours until 22:00, seven days per week. On call rota cover is expected which should be no more than 3 times in a six month period.

The two primary targets of this role are:

*To enable the Service Desk/1st Line Technical Support Team to fix/fulfil 80% of all IT related tickets

*To free up capacity of the team by identifying tasks that can be automated or streamlined and working with relevant teams to enable that change to happen in a positive way

Other Responsibilities

*Overseeing all incidents across IT

*Carrying out the role of Major Incident Manager
