Role: Engineering Process Lead - (Production execution)

Contract: 15 Months fixed term (high probability that this period will either be extended or the role will become permanent)

Location: Flexible, Role can be based anywhere in Europe with regular presence in London

Salary: £60,000 + car allowance / car + benefits

The Role:

*Our leading client requires an Engineering Process Lead for the production of process controls, systems and business design principles relating to maintenance planning as well as the interfaces with other critical parts of the Engineering lifecycle (Fleet and Supply Chain).

*You will work closely with the Engineering Process Lead (Production Planning) and will be responsible for the standards, structures and processes that govern the operational Engineering setting (workforce, skills and core maintenance execution)

*Define processes and structures to fulfil the maintenance plan to create a common skills structure for Engineering, forming a framework that technical roles are created

Build and deploy a framework for skills compliance and a common approach to labour planning to adopt best practice techniques

Essentials:

*Act as a Technical architect form maintenance plans. Role requires an accomplished engineer, ideally with direct bus or rail experience, but importantly with a demonstrable track record in developing and improving maintenance processes, technical skills and the human factors that shape maintenance execution.

*Being a proficient technician and an outstanding communicator, capable of relating your own experience not only to the perspectives of other shop-floor engineers, but also to engineering managers, senior leaders, change leads and other professional stakeholders.

*You will have experience in the quality assurance of technical skills in the workshop environment. This could be gained from a background in technical audit, or through practical experience of observed practice or skills mentoring. Critically you must be able to show you can lead the development of a technical skills framework, influence key stakeholders (some of whom will be sceptical), and bring your proposals to successful deployment.

*You will have direct, demonstrable experience in the development, implementation and successful sustained use of digital technology within and around the workshop, in particular systems that plan and schedule work, organise labour resources, and capture data about time and materials on the workshop floor.

*Specification of technical requirements by Original equipment manufacturers

*Expert user of Enterprise IT systems, experience of change and implementation of systems & processes

*Establishing process for continuous improvement, ongoing analysis and execution planning, work content and duration, quality assurance, review and validation

*Experience in Logistics / Production Planning disciplines and techniques systems and structures on a localised and international scale
