Data Scientist

Perm or Contract

Oxford, Oxfordshire

Our client is a pioneer in utilising Machine Learning AI technologies and applying them to Cyber Security threats to seek out and isolate advanced cyber threats, delivering intelligence in real-time. Due to impressive successes, they are opening a new office in Central Oxford where a sub-team of five individuals will initially work.

We have been instructed as the sole recruitment partner to assist in the hire of a Data Scientist to get involved in this ground-breaking technology in an ever-expanding IT Security / Cyber Security arena. The successful candidate will be working alongside experts in their fields and we see this as an excellent opportunity for the appropriately skilled individual.

Experience / Skills

-Python Data Stack (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, etc.)

-Machine Learning

-Mathematical Modelling / Statistical Modelling

-Data Modelling

-Data Mining

-Experience in Matlab, R / R-Shiny and IPython PyPy beneficial

Candidates with either commercial or strong academic post-graduate research background are welcome to apply. Candidates should have a passion for complex data challenges.

Whilst our client has a preference for a permanent employee to take on this position, they are open to also considering applications from Contractors. Our client will pay a competitive base salary/day rate depending on experience. The permanent package also includes a comprehensive benefits package including 30 days leave + bank holidays and a bonus.

Relevant Job Titles: Data Scientist, Data Modeller, Python Developer or similar.
