We are looking to recruit a SQL Support Engineer, located out of the Stafford office, for a company with locations across the UK, Americas, Europe and APAC.

Tech requirements:
SQL Server 2008/2012 essential, (2014/2016 desirable)T-SQL writing would be very usefulSQL server maintenance and troubleshooting; fragmentation, maintenance plans, extended events/profilerBackground in providing support to customers remotely using SQL to troubleshoot and diagnose issuesCloud knowledge - AWS/AzureKnowledge of WAN/LANKnowledge of network architecture and cloud based servicesGood all round Microsoft infrastructure skills
Your role:
Become the SME for specific technologies and solutions within the managed cloud service teamApply continuous service improvements across the different levels of supportManage the process of on boarding customersSupport customers in resolving connection issues and any necessary IT changesProvide support to internal and external customers for cloud related projectsEnsure effective system monitoring solutions and processes are in place with hosting supplier, making sure issues can be detected and resolved before they impact on service availabilityEnsure customer environment resources (disk, RAM, CPU) are adequately specifiedAgree and maintain under change control, reference and development environment specsManage the resolution of any issues or vulnerabilities in the cloud infrastructure or suppliers cloud platformDisaster recovery , failover and penetration/vulnerability testingEnsure technical documentation is in place for the cloud support team
Renumeration:
Salary - £35,000 - £45,000
