DBA / Database Administrator (SQL, Informix, MongoDB, Oracle) - Multi Vendor DBALiverpool City Centre, Merseyside, North West, UK
£45,000 - £50,000 + decent benefits
To Administrator any Database ServersMongoDBMySQLMicrosoft SQL Server including SSRS/SSAS/SSISOracle including Oracle Fusion Middleware products (SOA, OSB, ODI etc)InformixThe installation, configuration, upgrade, administration, monitoring and maintenance of databases.Working with other teams to ensure resolution of incidents / problems and always putting the customer first.Working within project teams to help design and implement IT projects.Mentoring and supporting other members within the team.
Main Activities and Responsibilities
Uses database management system software and tools, and knowledge of logical database schemata, to investigate problems and collect performance statistics and create reports. Carries out routine configuration/installation and reconfiguration of database and related products. Pro-active Monitoring of Databases to identify issues before they cause incidents
Fault resolution of all faults and the ability to escalate to database manager and use 3rd party resource.
Installation/Configuration changes of the database estate working alongside the change processes
Ensuring database daily tasks are preformed (backups/restores/index rebuild etc)
