Lead Developer/Architect | PHP/Symfony/AWS/ DDD

Leeds (Wetherby) £50,000 You will be joining a small team, this means you will be integral to helping put together the companies working practices and how they operate as they move forward and grow.

About you:

You will be needed to a have impeccable attention to detail with a passion for really understanding the business's domain and how the business operates leading to you writing code that is accurate and productive for the business.

About the role:

You will be modernising the existing codebase, migrating legacy code into a more structured framework to organise the codebase, refactoring projects to rewrite code to accurately match the companies current domain, by writing modern PSR2 standard event driven code. You will also be responsible for the development and implementation of new code testing standards.

Skills

Must have skills/ experience:

Domain Driven Design and its importance in writing good software.Advanced Object Oriented DesignAdvanced API Design and developmentExtensive commercial PHP (including recent PHP 7+ & Symfony)Knowledge of Symfony Framework (version 4 a plus)Solid Javascript (browser and Node.js)Excellent written and verbal communicationCommercial Amazon Web ServicesImplementation of Unit TestingVCS with GitDocker in both development and production environmentsPerformant MySQL statements + database schema change managementDevelopment in a Linux/ Mac environment
