Christmas is getting closer and closer (seriously... where has this year gone?!) which normally means one thing for job seekers... a lack of jobs! However, this organisation have decided to buck the trend and get ahead of their 2020 headcount target by releasing one of their key strategic hires early... I am engaged with a leading organisation in the Global Investments space who are looking to build up their 'Global Cloud & Security' function by recruiting an experienced Senior Project Manager with proven Cyber/IT Security experience. The organisation in question are privately owned, with offices all of the world (this role is based in Kent) and offer unrivalled career development opportunities due to their size and also due to how much they invest in their people. The Global Cloud & Security function essentially provides core IT services to the development/support of all of the key business applications that underpin their services, with the main focus being ensuring that their vast technology environment is protected from both internal and external security threats. As a Senior Cyber Security Project Manager, your role will be hybrid, encompassing a range of core responsibilities including stakeholder management, E2E delivery, risk management, budget management and leadership. You will act as a conduit between IT and the wider business, working with a variety of departments to ensure the smooth delivery of a number of Cyber Security products and solutions. Due to the complex nature of this role, this organisation are looking for experienced applicants with a broad understanding of IT/Cyber Security and I have highlighted the key requirements below:Hybrid Delivery Approach - Applicants must be able to demonstrate experience adopting a range of methodologies including Agile, PRINCE2 and Waterfall. This role wouldn't suit an 'Agile Evangelist' as the nature of the role means adaptability is key.Cyber Security Experience - Moreover, due to the specialist nature of the role, they are looking for candidates with proven experience delivering Cyber Security projects. Knowledge of control frameworks (NIST, ISO27001) and trends would also be hugely desirable.Technical Background - Proven experience delivering either Infrastructure (WIndows, Linux), Cloud (AWS, Azure) or Application Development (Java, .NET) projects is highly desirable. Understanding the full SDLC and how Application Security works is also an advantage.Stakeholder Management - Finally, all applicants must demonstrate proven experience managing stakeholers (ideally up to c-level). Due to the size of the organisation, you will essentially act as an 'internal consultant' so the ability to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders is key.Ultimately, this role requires an enthusiastic and motivated individual with the ability to drive high-performing teams and deliver complex projects both within budget and within agreed timescales (if only it were that easy...).
