We're looking to recruit a Senior Software Engineer to design, build and test bespoke software applications. The engineer will have a strong knowledge of software development process and is used to working on high-demand applications. The lead engineer is also encouraged to coach and support peers within the team to aid in their personal development.

You'll aim to deliver the highest quality customer driven software whilst continually challenging, motivating, mentoring and supporting their engineering teams.

You'll work in cross-disciplinary teams delivering exciting customer driven solutions and high quality software and showcase excellent interpersonal and communication skill whilst efficiently working across the project life cycle to ensure software operates as intended. This is a leadership level role and will blend both deep domain and technical expertise within a feature team and phenomenal passion for coaching and developing people in a "player-coach" model.

Key accountabilities of this role include

Design, Build and test of high transactional telephony solutions

Develop efficient and high performant call flow

Work with stakeholders to understand scope of delivery

Collaborate using Agile frameworks, to optimise team development process

Collaborate with other leads to define and maintain coding standards

Ensure all code developed follows coding standards and DevOps practices

Coaching of peers to support in their personal development

What we're looking for:

Experience in IVR Call Flow, telephony and Speech Recognition

Track record of successful delivery of high performant complex IVR applications

Experienced knowledge of Avaya AOD or 1 or more other IVR development environment such as Genesys composer, Voice Objects or CXP etc

Hands on experience with Java, JavaScript or another OOP language

Working knowledge of telephony technologies including call routing, SMS, VOIP

Understanding of REST APIs and web services
