An Award-Winning Global Bank are seeking Principal Analysts with excellent SAS Experience to be based at their London Office on an initial 6 Month Contract with a Day Rate of £400 to £450 PAYE.The role supports the Analytics Manager within the Remediation and Redress team in delivering the goals of the team and periodically manages interactions with stakeholders. Key ResponsibilitiesData validation (checking completeness and quality of data, often using banking front end systems for checks) Data manipulation (ingesting, aggregating, updating, re-formatting and correcting data in SAS) Building calculations to award refunds and interest payments using complex rulesets and historical data Summarising data (providing overviews of impacted customers, accounts and redress amounts) Supporting fulfilment activity (creating mailing files and payment files)SkillsStrong Analytical ReasoningExcellent Senior Stakeholder Management SkillsExperience of working with complex and very large financial datasets Excellent SAS skills (Base SAS), including strong SQL coding Advanced Excel Teradata or R a bonusStrong presentation skills with ability to present work in PowerPoint and Excel Ability to work toHighly developed analytical skills to extract information from data and translate to business language & financial impactsAbility to manage time effectively to ensure delivery of multiple projects.Well-developed oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate analysis and recommendations to colleagues at different levels of the organisationLeading a Team of AnalystsStrong Academics- Degree level education in a numerate discipline.ExperienceExperience of understanding, simplifying and automating existing complex processes.Experience of applying analytical techniques to data to produce explanatory or predictive resultsHave directly relevant experience of working in an analytical role within financial services or an alternative data driven organization within large analytical teamsExposed to direct interactions with stakeholders and business colleagues at different levels of the organisationPlease do get in touch if you would like to discuss this opportunity further by submitting your most up to date CV in the first instance.
