What you'll do…

We require a desktop rollout engineer / 1st line support engineer to provide customer focused support on migrating end users to either a Windows or Mac laptop as part of a refresh project.

You should have a good understanding of general IT principles and have a good working knowledge of Windows 10 and Mac OS.

You should be confident troubleshooting general IT queries and have a good analytical appreciation of how computers function.

How you'll do it…

o Responsible for building and swapping out Windows 10 OS / Mac OS Mojave laptops

o Scheduling time slots with users and managing the booking system

o Migrating Data

o Installing software

o Assisting with other applications e.g. Outlook, One Drive, Slack

o Dealing with any specific user requirements e.g. shortcuts, bookmarks

o Use Jira Service Desk to manage and close laptop refresh tickets

o Occasionally be first point of contact for all incoming queries on the IT Tech Bars.

o Resolve 1st line desktop, printer, application and telecoms issues over the telephone and in person.

o Follow the company's IT processes in incident, access, request, problem and change management.

What skills we would like you to have...

o Desktop platform support of Windows 10, Mac OS v10.13 & 10.14

o Strong communication skills

o Team Player

o A good understanding and working knowledge of basic Active Directory management.
