About the Role

The aim of the Finance Transformation project is to design a finance function that will best support and add value to the University now and in the future from both a business and systems perspective. The main purpose of this role is leading on the SAP S/4 Hana system aspects of the project via testing and undertaking training requirements for go-live in conjunction with the CSR project and Finance Transformation project teams.

Using formal and informal decision-making structures to get things done.Ability to take personal responsibility for getting things done by prioritising and managing own varied workload and that of others.Training and development ability specifically experience gained with testing, SAP S/4 Hana system and post-go-live implementation support.Ability to analyse information, including information derived from internal and external systems and sources, and identify and communicate the key strategic and operational issues.Ability to help deliver strategy at Unit and project level through financial and business input and thinking through the longer-term implications and consequences.Working with Units and Project Teams to develop an understanding of their needs to anticipate need, develop and deliver service.Display a willingness to undertake improvement and change, cognisant of costs and benefits. Leading to informed and assertive suggestions for improvement.Ability to problem solve and a flexibility of approach.Ensuring approachability and availability to staff at all levels with varied financial knowledge.Sound understanding of and commitment to equality and diversity.

Skills and Experience

EssentialRecent extensive SAP S/4 Hana Accounting experience demonstrating good knowledge of Sales, Management Information and core GL modulesFinalist CCABExcellent written and oral communication skillsExcellent training and development ability gained in financial and SAP S/4 Hana systems implementation projects

DesirableS4 / Hana implementation experienceExperience of User Acceptance TestingExperience of integrating non-SAP sub-ledgers into SAPExperience of SAP user roles and responsibilities along with best working practice
