IT Systems Engineer

Would you like to play a key role in part of a growing team responsible to bringing cutting edge technology and innovation into our portfolio of secure products to meet MOD requirements? We currently have a vacancy for an IT Systems Engineer at our site in Christchurch.

As an IT Systems Engineer, you will be working with other team members to push the limits of current technologies, through bringing both bold and innovative ideas to the table, through research of new technologies whilst understanding customer requirements.

This role will provide you with the opportunity to provide solutions to a wide range of challenges through creating technical proposals for the customer.

Your main responsibilities as an IT Systems Engineer will involve:

Developing an understanding of secure systems, services and solutions

Researching current vendors and technologies and identifying where they may be incorporated into our future solutions and services

Support the production of design specifications that meet the requirements

Liaise with team members to turn design specifications into tangible supportable solutions

Provide critical feedback to continually improve and maintain extant and development solutions

Support System Integration activities

Complete work to a high standard, within time, budget and governance

Your skills and qualifications:

Essential:

Relevant engineering qualification or equivalent experience

Passion for technology and experimentation Knowledge of the following areas: - Microsoft and/or Linux Operating Systems - Virtualisation - Networking - Cyber Security within IT environments Desirable:

Appreciation of the development lifecycles, from design through to implementation

Appreciation of Systems Engineering

What we're looking for in you:

You will be a proactive individual with excellent communication skills, this will allow you to be self-driven when problem-solving and innovative. You will also be able to present solutions to a wide and varied audience.

Furthermore you will have good attention to detail with both a logical and analytical approach to the work you carry out and also be adaptable to changes in both customer and business needs which will allow you to spend time away from your base site of work.

Location: Christchurch Salary: £32,000.00+
