You'll 

Build and deliver applications, systems and services that exceed expectations

Gather user feedback to inform and shape the development process

Lead development and mentor colleagues as a principal expert in the field

Work with others throughout the business to define requirements and ensure quality of applications

Produce documentation to show logic and record testing and changes

Create and maintain data models using formal modeling and associated documentation

Educate the team on delivery requirements and relevant development tools

Ensure development is completed on time and to quality standards

Drive research and adoption of new technologies and techniques

Keep others in the business up-to-date with development and ensure understanding

The person

As one of the most experienced on the team, you'll be looked on to see the road ahead where others can't. Our perfect Principal Developer will:

Be a domain expert and role model IT professional able to communicate with tech and non-tech audiences

Understand application design, SCRUM, Waterfall, modeling and clustering techniques

Be able to troubleshoot complex software issues including those in unfamiliar code

Have expert-level development experience including multi-tiered application design

Have experience of statistical modeling/clustering techniques and          technologies

Have understanding and experience in data analysis, data mining tools and dashboard creation, development and distribution

Have a degree or relevant professional qualification/experience

Think logically and have top-level numeracy skills

Be team-minded and keen to share expertise
