Become the champion of quality assurance in digital innovation at AIA

Innovation is embedded in the websites we design, write and develop for some of the world's leading employer brands. As QA Technician, you'll make sure each site is oven-ready for publication.

At AIA, we're revolutionising the way employers connect. We're doing this through our industry-leading digital capabilities, allied to data-driven strategy and stunning creative. We even have our own AI-driven talent marketing platform, TalentBrew - a distribution engine and destination point that brings our clients' employer brands to life.

Producing content-rich, accessible websites, many of which have won awards, is a collaborative effort involving our Client Service, Project Management, Creative and Developer teams. But as our Quality Assurance Technician, you'll be key to getting both new and updated sites up and running. You'll do this by following a methodical QA process, through development stages to smoke testing the production site. This involves identifying functional and design issues and ensuring each site is compatible with different browsers and screen sizes on PC, Mac and mobile devices (iOS and Android). The role will also entail using various tools to aid in assessing each sites' accessibility.

Our work matters. So will you.

Clients depend on our tech expertise to promote their employer brands and attract the best people. Candidates rely on us to enable them to make career choices that can change their lives. So you'll matter to us - your job satisfaction, your ambitions, your development, you as an individual.

Not least, we'll help you to future-proof your career. As the sole champion of website QA at AIA, you'll learn from true experts as part of a 16-strong team of Developers and Digital Project Managers. You'll get to know the finer points of the digital landscape and naturally emerge as the go-to web accessibility expert for teams across the business.

Detail is everything

While previous website testing experience and knowledge of WCAG accessibility guidelines is needed, this is not a job that calls for in-depth tech knowledge, although you will have at least a basic understanding of html.  What we're really looking for is an extraordinary eye for detail. You'll scrutinise sites to make sure they work on different devices, documenting and advising on necessary fixes. Things can change quickly in our business, so you'll need a proactive approach and great prioritisation/time management skills. You'll also be a first-class communicator and collaborator.

What it's like here

It's busy, but incredibly supportive. Teams work together, people look out for each other. You'll be helping your colleagues; they'll be happy to give you help on things like coding when you need it. Because we work as one, united in a common passion to get a great product out for our clients.

And we know how to reward ourselves for a job well done. That could mean sharing a drink on our twelfth-floor roof terrace or out of the office (we're handily located near St Paul's and the Barbican). Or letting our hair down at our Christmas and summer parties. Or tucking into Pizza Friday once a month. That's all on top of more formal benefits such as private healthcare, interest-free season ticket loans and cycle-to-work scheme.
