Salary: Circa £40k + benefits package plus generous Christmas bonus (DOE)
Hours of Work: Mon - Fri 08:00 - 16:30 (40hrs per week)

Job Title: Mechanical Engineer
Job Role Summary You will have a broad role within a small but rapidly expanding engineering business.  You will be tasked with the full design process for new products from concept designs to detailed manufacturing drawings.  You will also be responsible for detailing manufacturing and assembly procedures.
Key Tasks/Objectives.Manage end to end design of new productsUnderstand existing product range and identify key improvement areasDesign products in Solidworks for the UK and European marketsProgramme CNC machines with CAM softwareProduce detailed engineering/manufacturing drawings with BOMsDevelop working relationships with customers and suppliersManage product specification within internal MRP softwareProduce Standard Operating Procedures to detail manufacturing and assembly methodsProduce documentation and drawings for patent and design right applicationsProvide general technical expertise to assist company growth, e.g. Specifying new machines, new tools, designing assembly jigs, new computer software, workshop computer access, new factory designProduce technical documents, reports and presentations for internal and external use.Responsibilities:
All aspects of design and manufacture of the company product range

Essential Skills:  Hold a relevant engineering degree preferably in Mechanical Engineering and preferably from a Russell Group UniversityStrong Exp using 3D CAD software (Ideally Solidworks)Full lifecycle design Exp - concept design, 2D/3D modelling, engineering drawings and designing for manufacture as well as maintenance and design improvement considerationsExp with use of ERP and/or MRP systems i.e. SAGE, Oracle, Progress PlusProven Project Management skills and Exp Proficient IT skills with strong knowledge of MS Excel, Word, PowerPointGeneral business acumen  Desirable Skills: Knowledge lof working in an ISO 9001 accredited Engineering companyKnowledge of working with sheet metal, extruded aluminium and machined productsKnoweldge of working with cable assemblies, hydraulics, and pneumaticsKnowledge of working with injection moulded and 3D printed componentsKnowledge of working with CAM software to produce CNC machine programsLean Manufacturing knowledge i.e. 5S or Six SigmaKnolwedge with Continuous Improvement systems and techniquesUrgent requirement ! send cv for an immediate response.
