Real Time Recruitment Solutions https://www.rtrs.co.uk Junior Embedded C Software Engineer, Grantham, £25,000-£35,000An exciting opportunity has arisen for a multi-disciplined embedded software engineer to join my clients growing engineering team, to work on a range of IoT applications for the highway and construction industries.
You will be working with an engineering team to develop new products from the conceptual design stage, right up to customer field trials and mass production.
This is a hands-on role, where you will be expected to design, build and implement new designs and upgrades to existing products.
This position is suitable for an engineer with an engineering degree in either electronics design or embedded software, ideally along with commerical exposure, though fresh graduates with strong academic background will also be considered.
The role includesDay-to-day involvement in our new product development projectsApplications development and product customisationImplementing new product featuresManaging product life cycles, including ongoing upgradesEnsuring all new software versions are suitably developed and rigorously tested Key SkillsEmbedded C software designFault finding and problem diagnosisUnderstanding of embedded firmware compilers eg: Kiel or TIs CCS, etc.You should be able to demonstrate hands-on understanding in one or more of the following technologies:ARM Cortex MicroprocessorsSub 1GHz radio networksCellular communication networks (2G, 3G, 4G etc)Low powered wide area radio networksGNSS location servicesTexas Instruments RTOS Other skills and requirementsWillingness to learn and support othersBe quality focused with an eye for detailHave a logical and thorough approach to problem solvingAbility to prioritise work and work on you own initiativeBe able to work as part of a team and encourage a supportive family atmosphereSalary and Benefits £25,000 to £35,000Working Hours 08:30am to 5:00pm (Monday - Friday)33 days holiday (including Bank Holidays)Company PensionFor an immmediate interview, please send a copy of your latest CV to m a r t i n . b y r n e @ r t r s . c o . u k
