Our client provides solutions to the most complex simulation and training challenges for a variety of military and commercial customers around the world. Devices range in complexity from classroom based desktop training all the way up to high fidelity weapon systems and full-flight training systems including full visual, motion, and simulator interoperability (HLA/DIS).
 
Reporting to the Systems Engineering Manager, possessing strong systems engineering skills, this role involves dealing with enquiries from potential customers, assessing system level requirements and liaising with relevant client product teams to help formulate and develop solutions.
 
Responsibilities to include technical demonstration, technical documentation, support to bids and proposals, design reviews, configuration, integration and test and acceptance phases of simulation and training systems.
 
Focused on customer requirements to specify, develop, document and test new systems solutions. Use of V model development methodology and sound systems engineering practices.
 
Occasional international travel relating to technical demonstrations, key installations and acceptance will be required. Support of industry trade shows may be required.
 
Travels in support of project requirements such as: working group meetings, design reviews, installation and integration, acceptance testing and maintenance.
 
Will possess good customer affinity, strong communication skills and is capable of representing Collins to the customer and user community.

Systems Engineering - Capture and analyse customer requirements; derive product requirements.
 
Collaborate with product specialists, software engineers, testers, hardware engineers, and project management to develop solutions

Develop engineering estimates for Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) and Bid proposals, using applicable enterprise estimation tools
 
Has primary execution responsibilities to ensure responsible projects remain within budget, on schedule and meets requirements
