We are looking for a Systems Administrator with 2-4 years work experience to help maintain, upgrade and manage our software, hardware and networks (internal and external). Canary Wharf / South Quay, London | c£28,000 to £35,000 depending on experience+ bonus + pension scheme
We are looking for candidate with an interest in IT and Systems Administration and who may have a degree in IT engineering / networking / security. They must be highly motivated to get stuck into the day to day administration of the Office Infrastructure and Servers hosted at enterprise class data centers. There will be opportunities to progress and diversify skills into more of an InfrOps role.
Working hours: Mon-Fri 09:00 + 17:30 (occasional weekends for upgrades)

Primary Job Functions:
+ Assist with installation and configuration of software
+ Set up accounts and workstations
+ Monitor performance and help maintain systems according to requirements
+ Troubleshoot issues and outages
+ Assist with upgrading systems with new releases
+ Help maintain an internal wiki with technical documentation, manuals and IT policies
Skills:
+ Basic Linux administration
+ Windows desktop administration
+ Knowledge of at least 1 scripting language
+ Understanding of databases
+ Understanding of web/application servers
Primary Technology Stack (training provided):
+ OpenVZ/Virtuozzo
+ Linux + RHEL/CentOS
+ MySQL/MariaDB
+ MongoDB
+ Caucho Resin/Tomcat
Desired Qualification:
+ A related apprenticeship
+ Bachelor's degree from a university in related field, for example BEng
+ Masters advantageous, Good A Levels (or equivalent)
