We have an exciting permanent role for a full stack Software Developer to join the Web delivery team in Edinburgh. The role represents an opportunity join the team that deliver digital change to Royal London's customer and intermediary websites, working with the Episerver Content Management System.  

The purpose of this role is to design, develop, test and implement efficient web and web integration solutions that meet business and customer delivery requirements.  The team is a specialist team of developers, analysts and testers with accountabilities to deliver to a number of lines of business via a prioritised backlog.  The team is led by a Technical Lead, who runs the team.

What will you be doing

Writing code that meets group standards, guidelines and quality gates for given technologies

Thoroughly testing all changes to ensure any issues are identified as early as possible

Supporting the safe implementation of solutions to production environment(s)

Contributing to the software development practice by sharing ideas and experience

Carrying out accurate impact assessments on changes to existing applications

Contributing to process improvements and sharing best practice with the wider team

What we're looking for

An experienced C# .NET developer

Experience with web development and delivery

JavaScript/CSS experience

Excellent written and oral communication

You will be comfortable working in a close-knit team environment

Skills that could help you in the role

While it would be useful to have some EpiServer expertise, it is not essential. 

Experience with front-end libraries (Angular/Angular.js/React/Bootstrap)

Broad experience of reading API documentation and interfacing with 3rd party APIs

Experience with automated regression testing tools

SQL DB skills

Experience of working in an agile environment
