NHS Wales Informatics Service is seeking to procure 1 experienced 2nd line desktop support technician to provide remote support to our clients throughout NHS Wales.

The successful applicant will work within a team of 6 technicians based in our Cardiff city centre office whose responsibility is to investigate and resolve incidents/service requests that 1st line support are unable to handle. Calls that cannot be resolved remotely by this team are then escalated to local support teams throughout NHS Wales.

The IT Support Technician will be required to assist in the development, maintenance and support the systems for which the Cardiff Office Team is responsible in accordance with specifications / operational requirements of NHS Wales.

The skillset required include:

*practical experience

*knowledge and understanding of Windows desktop operating systems

*Microsoft office

*Server 2008/2012

*Exchange mailbox management

*Printer support

*IPv4 LAN infrastructure

*ITIL experience
