My client is a market leading innovative provider of financial technology that ensures business payments simple, smart and secure. My client likes people who are disruptive with their ideas, curious in their thinking and have the confidence to truly make an impact.

My client is looking for someone to work as a member of a dynamic Agile development team on a range of there products, primarily payments solution software supplied to major financial institutions. To be responsible for developing, maintaining, and executing test scripts for manual and some automated testing, software, security and web testing and helping to drive testing strategy.

Main Duties

The post holder will be expected to:

*Work as a member of an agile team to estimate, plan and test new productsfeatures

*Review, analyse and understand functional business requirements

*Participate in application design and create a thorough testing strategy for the productfeature

*Understand user profiles and the user experience bringing a user-centric approach to the team

*Create, run and manage manual and automated tests

*Participate in release testing

*Mentor other team members and provide QA leadership

Additional Duties

The post holder will be expected to:

*Create/track/retest software defects in designated defect tracking tool (Jira)

*Work closely with development and product management staff to discuss defects and resolutions

*Participate in and provide input during QA process improvement initiatives

*May on occasion be required to provide after-hours support for release deployments.

*Provide high level overviews of testing coverage, quality metrics and test strategies

*Assist with Automation test creation and strategy

Competencies

Essential

*Outstanding written and verbal communication skills along with solid experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint

*High level computer skills (general)

*Basic understanding of one or more of Java.NETHTMLCSS3JavaScript (and a desire to learn more)

Desirable

*SQL

*Oracle

*jmeter

*Selenium

*IDE's e.g. Eclipse

Experience

Essential

*Substantial experience in testing, automation testing, engineering support, or technical support environment or equivalent experience

*Proven ability to interpret results, identify trends and communicate appropriately

*Sound knowledge/experience of Web Application testing including Security testing

*Working in an Agile environment.

*Significant experience of software QA processes and methodologies/tools (Jira/Zephyr preferred )

Desirable

*Use of UI Automation technologies

*Experience of using a Java framework to drive Selenium Web Driver based automation tests

*Solid knowledge of SQL

*Java development (to level required for creating automated tests)

*Financial Domain experience, specifically payments (Domestic, International, Wire)

*Experience as a scrum master of a team

*Experience creating performance tests using jmeter or similar

Qualifications

Desirable

*Good degree in a numerate discipline or equivalent experience

*CSM or other Agile training
