Our solutions simplify the complex for our customers, and this new full time Junior UI Designer position will be at the heart of doing just that in the Product Design team. For over 10 years Arkk Solutions has been at the forefront of taking the risk out of tax and financial reporting for global businesses. Our software frees up the finance functions of over 850 clients in 20 countries, including a quarter of the FTSE 350 and 10 of the top 20 UK accounting firms. This year we launched for:sight our award-winning process management platform for tax experts. It's original design and innovative use of technology means for:sight is bringing colour to this typically grey market. We're now looking for a passionate UI Designer with a focus on usability, function and design to help take our product to the next level. Reporting directly to our Senior Product Designer you'll work closely with members of the Product team, supporting the overall product vision. This is an opportunity to join a team of experienced professionals, work with the latest technologies and directly contribute to the successful go-to-market of products which add real bottom line value to our customers. Challenges you'll be working on: We're constantly evolving our products to the challenges faced by hundreds of companies world-wide. In this role you'll be working towards that by: Translating customer needs into meaningful UI, working across the business to enhance usability of features Take complex demands and present them in a clear, methodical way Work on the full lifecycle of our complex products, from brainstorming new products to continuous improvement of our live products Produce design assets for use by development Use data and key user metrics to improve your designs and build Advocating for "user centric" design principles Creating high quality prototypes and MVPs, and interface design Creating a simple and pain-free user experience, focusing on reliability and performance Always looking for quick improvement opportunities, while having the long-term UX/UI vision in mind We're looking for someone who's: Focused on winning together as Arkk is a highly collaborative environment. We encourage everyone to take part of the process of Product Development from sales through to our own Finance team, so you'll need to be confident working across departments. We're a highly ambitious team with a true learning mindset and we work hard to challenge ourselves and each other to make sure we're meeting the customers and business' expectations. You'll be joining as the first in-house Junior UI Designer so there's plenty of opportunity for personal development. This is an opportunity to make the role your own, but you'll need to hit the ground running, be highly self-motivated and able to get things done. The perfect person is: Qualified in a UI discipline and/ or 1-2 years experience in a junior role and strong UI skills. You'll be looking to join a team of highly motivated, ambitious people who are committed to supporting each other to be the very best we can.
