Do you have experience building streaming data platforms for operational and analytical use cases whilst leveraging Java, Scala and Kafka.?

Are you passionate about data, technologies and techniques such as Data Federation and Virtualisation?

A leading Data Science Consultancy with offices in the UK and Europe is growing its existing Data Engineering team.  The team works in tandem with a team of PhD level Data Scientist who are busy building AI/ML models you will be developing data platform infrastructure and architecture to support data pipelines. 

As the Data Engineer you will work with internal and client-side teams taking an  Agile Scrum-based delivery approach. You will be a significant contributor to tech solutions and coach junior team members on tech and delivery best practices. 

As a key member of the team, you can expect to receive an excellent salary and employment bens package that includes access to paid technical certifications to include but not limited,  AWS and Google Cloud Platform Architecture. 

Stuff you need to know already!

Proficiency with Scala and Java programming languages.

Worked on Micro-Services architecture preferable Event and Mesh.

Excellent API skills and integration with multiple data sources

if you have this then you are a superstar! (skills are less essential)

 Some experience of Apache Pulsar, Google PubSub, Rabbit MQ, AWS Kinesis

Distributed computing Spark, Flink and Storm

Agile knowledgeable on big data development teams

Experience on building bridge cloud to/from on-prem data processing pipelines for use in production "hands-off" environments

Experience on high performance and high volume streaming pipelines

Knowledge of Cloud Native Foundation principals

Solid knowledge of CI/CD and Delivery automation of streaming platforms

Terraform, Ansible, Docker.
