JOB TITLE: Controls and Compliance Analyst CadentLocation: Coventry

Salary: £43,000pa Role Purpose

This is an exciting role and represents an excellent opportunity for career growth and development as a Controls Analyst within the heart of Cadent's CFO function. Working with Process and Control owners and third-party external Service Providers to identify key financial risks and mitigating controls, whilst ensuring process documentation are kept up to date and maintained to high standards.As a respected point of contact you`ll regularly interface with external auditors and third parties on planning and scoping of key controls and processes to ensure the Controls team continues to deliver to audit requirements.Key Accountabilities: Supporting the management team with risk assessments, end to end process reviews, remediation plans, design & implementation of key controls and agreeing annual testing cycles.Responsible for maintaining quality assurance over process documentation.Identifying and promoting best practice and communicating where process improvements can be made, both within the team and in the wider business.Identifying key compliance weaknesses and communicating results to key stakeholders.Mindful of any changing requirements in legislation and external standards and highlighting these to Controls and Compliance Team Manager for onward communication and consideration.Interfacing with Cadent Finance, IT and HR teams, when performing Risk Assessments along with regular reporting of key issues and key control testing.Essential Skills: Experience and/or knowledge of regulatory or operational controls, or wider internal control frameworks both Business and ITGCAbility to understand and critically assess and map business processes and controlsStrong technical accounting or auditing skills with a working knowledge of tax and company lawSarbanes-Oxley compliance experience (execution, testing and consolidation)Experience of writing Process Flow Commentaries, Risk and Control Matrices (RACM) & test scripts.Proficient use and knowledge of business systems and analytical tools (Visio, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Excellent analytical skills and attention to detailExcellent oral and written communication skillsBenefits
