The Opportunity:

Due to our continued success, we are growing our Testing functional capability in order to better support our customers that are primarily located in the Berkshire & East Midlands areas. As a result, we are looking for experienced test professionals across all disciplines to start in permanent roles.

The Role

As a Security QA Engineer, the successful candidate will be in charge of the test automation and quality of the following key components;

Have technical knowledge and hands-on experience with IT/information security/ cyber security standards and frameworks such as ISO27001, NIST CSF and GITC.

Good experience in Application Security Testing (SAST, DAST, SCA, IAST, MAST, RASP)

Good understanding of OWASP, PTES and other penetration testing methodologies

Experience of security testing toolsets e.g. MicroFocus Fortify SCA (Static Analysis) WebInspect (Dynamic Vulnerability); App Defender; Black Duck; Sonatype (opensource); and Qualys (DAST)

Experience in Security QA Testing (compliance controls, Threat Management, Security Architecture Assessment, Cloud 3rd Party Risk Assessment, Vulnerability Mgt.)

Understanding on Penetration Testing and can articulate clearly the actions required from Penetration Testing results

The Person:

Expert knowledge of Cloud infrastructure, security architectures, and standards

Able to demonstrate clear understanding of current threats to Cloud infrastructure and/or IT infrastructures at technical and managerial levels

Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills required

Ability to think outside of the box

Self-starter with the ability to identify and meet deadlines and milestones

Linux Experience; must know at least standard user land roles and tasks

Expert knowledge of web security concepts and cyber-attack vectors covering network through application layers

Practical and theoretical knowledge of web malware and how it can get inside the network and mitigation strategies.

Identify processes/procedures for how to handle a cloud security events

Identify new security threats by conducting continual monitoring, vulnerability assessments and log analysis
