Senior Technical Support Analyst - Applications, Virtualisation & SANWest Bromwich, West MidlandsSAN, Virtualisation, VMware, Microsoft Infrastructures, MS Exchange, Active Directory, Windows Server 2012/2016, MS SQL Server, Windows Servers 2008, 2012 & 2016, Linux RedHat, PowerShell, Linux Shell, Scripting, Office 365, MS Azure and Storage initiatives.£40,000pa + PRP, Generous Pension, Life Insurance, Corporate Discounts + 25 Days HolidayFinancial sector specialists are seeking a strong technical presence to impact and enhance their current IT Support Team.Based at the Client's West Bromwich HQ, you will need experience and skills across a number of technologies such as:Key Technical Skills:Virtualisation, VMwareSAN's - Storage Area NetworksThe Microsoft Suite of ApplicationsWindows Server Operating systems.RedHat Linux Operating Systems expertiseAutomated Management Tasks using Windows PowerShell or Linux Shell ScriptingThis role requires considerable knowledge and a high degree of analytical and constructive thinking to tackle a wide variety of challenging and difficult I.T. related issues.This role is extremely diverse, challenging and will require a person with energetic and tenacious qualities coupled with the technical skills and cerebral capacity to match.Key Responsibilities:Support and maintenance of a wide range of infrastructure and business software tools including Virtualisation Infrastructure (VMWare), Windows and Linux platforms.Storage Area Network support and maintenance.Assist in the resolution of issues reported to the I.T. Service desk.Assist in Business Continuity testing and in the event of a Disaster itself.Provide out of hours support.Advise on technical issues to immediate and senior management.Liaise with third party suppliers to ensure service availability.Assessing and implementing new technologies and presenting results.Assist in capacity planning tasks.Producing quality documentation.Providing assistance to other areas of the I.T.
