Scrum Master

My client, a globally renowned leader in their field, is looking for an experienced Scrum Master to join the team at their head office in Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire.

The Scrum Master will be responsible for planning, organising and leading an Agile team to achieve a high level of performance in delivering quality enhancements / solutions for the group CRM program.

Key Accountabilities:

*Assist in team development while holding the Development Team accountable for their commitments; leveraging organisational resources to improve capacity and developing team members.

*Assists the Development Team with daily stand-up meetings, iteration planning and release planning. Actively work to eliminate impediments that are blocking the Development Team from making progress on their iteration goals, especially as relating to dependencies external to the team.

*Support the Product Owner in managing customer expectations for deliverables and managing stakeholder communications.

*Assists the Business Owners in backlog refinement and prioritisation and ensures that the Product Owner and Business Owners are available to the Development Team for detailed requirements and clarifications.

*Champion and support relentless process improvement using Lean-Agile principles by conducting Retrospective and Sprint Reviews.

*Ensure that the Development Team provides demonstrations on an agreed cadence.

*Coach the Development Team to create better solutions and improve business results.

*Promote empowerment of the team, ensure that each team member is fully engaged in the Program and making a meaningful contribution and encourage a sustainable pace with high levels of quality. Foster the adoption of Agile technical practices.

*Helps the Development Team become self-organised and self-managed.

Key Experience required:

*Experience in an Agile / Scrum environment plus familiarity with Software Development Life Cycle.

*Experience with complex, enterprise projects that span countries including managing virtual teams is a plus.

*Must be able to quickly assimilate the necessary knowledge of a particular system or process with which they may not be familiar.

*Must be excellent at listening, giving and receiving instructions, asking questions, and seeking clarification.

*Must be delivery and execution focused; works to deadlines and drives schedules

*Strong communication skills, both verbal and written with strong decision-making and leadership skills.

*Analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills.

*Ability to manage multiple activities and projects concurrently.

*Ability to coordinate and facilitate teaming, communication and collaboration across all Business and IT functions.

*Agile certification from an industry recognised body is a plus

*Bachelor's Degree (preferred in the computer science or engineering scope), or equivalent education.
