Web Developer - EdinburghSalary up to £32kWorking for an industry-leading software company the successful candidate will be a motivated individual capable of working both independently and within a larger development team.The role will provide a range of challenges working on their existing products and developing new projects. The successful candidate will be exposed to all aspects of the development lifecycle from initial specification to final delivery. This is an excellent opportunity for a keen developer with a flair for design to develop their skills in a dynamic environment.Essential SkillsExperience of client-side development using JavaScript.Experience of styling web applications with CSS and SASS.In depth knowledge of HTML and experience of using a templating engine.Experience of a JavaScript framework, ideally React, Vue or AngularJS.Experience of development in a Linux environment.Experience of working with a source control system, ideally git or subversion.Desired SkillsExperience of server-side development using a dynamic scripting language.Experience of using a server-side MVC framework.Knowledge of MySQL or a similar relational database.Experience of working with JSON and XML.Knowledge of testing frameworks and tools.Experience of NodeJS.Experience of working with Amazon Web Services APIs.Applicants will ideally be based in the Central Belt of Scotland and must be eligible to work in the UK.To apply or to discuss the role in further detail email [email protected] or contact 0191 814 7785.***Everything discussed will remain CONFIDENTIAL***
