Through continuous growth they are looking for a Test Engineer to join their growing technology based engineering solutions team.In this role you will join a busy development team to design and run tests on a range of products within engineering.The ideal candidate will be an experienced Test Engineer working on Hardware with experience of Software and Programming such as C++ & Java and Embedded Systems. *Works with development staff to design and run tests to ensure that products are of the highest quality possible.

*Generates reports and documentation associated with testing.

*Advises on, and assists with the implementation of improvements to test processes

*Management of defects and change using systems such as JIRA.

*Is involved in the full test life cycle: Requirements analysis, creating and designing Test Cases, Test Tools / Equipment / Documentation, Executing the tests on a product, Defect Capture and Analysis and Reporting throughout.

*Manages defects, changes and issue tracking using JIRA.

*Uses Test Management tools to track test execution statuses and report on test progress

*Advises on and assists with the implementation of improvements to Test Methodologies and Processes.

*Manages test coverage of Requirements.

*Understands and applies agreed test processes to hardware and software development life cycles.

*Understands both Agile and Waterfall development lifecycles and applies appropriate test methods to each.

*Uses Microsoft products for communication, workload management, document management etc.The person:

*Degree qualified or similar experience

*ISTQB foundation or similar experience

*Experience in a test engineer position working within IT, Software, Engineering, Electronics or Hardware

*Experience in application of test process through a hardware and software development life cycle

*Experience of Agile & Waterfall development beneficial

*Experience of testing embedded software / real time control systems
