About the Role The position will initially be working out of our Chippenham working for our Enterprise Solutions and Defence Division, this role sits with the commercial team. This teams looks after, Telecoms, Transport, Utilities, Broadcast Media.

If so then you've probably used our software, we get involved in real world interesting problems and find the solution.

You will be responsible on supporting live projects from day one support by senior software engineers. We are looking for enthusiastic developers who can work effectively in teams to deliver high quality software solutions. Successful candidates will be able to work to deadlines; have good communication skills; be flexible in moving between projects; and be capable of assimilating new technologies.

From time to time you will be asked to work on customer sites throughout the UK, and you must be willing to undergo security clearances. You will be based in our Bristol or Chippenham office.

Key Responsibilities Essential skills * Degree or equivalent in computer science, engineering or a scientific discipline * Experience programming with Java, Ideally with 6 months industry experience * An understanding of software best practice * Experience of working in a collaborative team environment * Strong communication skills

Desirable skills - any knowledge or experience of the following: * Java 8 * PostgreSQL * OData * Git * Java (Spring, JPA/Hibernate, Java EE) * Agile development practices * Test Driven Development * Continuous Integration and Deployment * UML * Experience of Agile/Scrum

Other Requirements: * Willing to work on customer site * Must be eligible to work in the UK * Must either have SC clearance or be able to obtain it
