Let's see how that goes...An innovative and progressive Software Consultancy in Leeds is looking to recruit experienced DevOps Engineers to come in and work within their expanding cloud services function. They operate a customer-first model, delivering high-quality and scalable solutions to a range of customers across Financial Services, Banking, Retail, Insurance and the Public Sector. Simply put... these guys know what scalable cloud-based solutions look like and their DevOps Engineers play an absolutely crucial role.In terms of travel, whilst they are a Software Consultancy, the chances of you spending 4 nights per week in a Premier Inn away from your loved ones couldn't be further from the truth. These roles are primarily home-based, with trips to their Leeds office around 1 day per month. You will typically spend 1 or 2 days (per week) on-site with clients (Yorkshire, Midlands, North West) with the remaining 3 or 4 days at home.Your responsibilities in this role would be varied, encompassing the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC) with specific focus on the following:Delivering scalable solutions and platforms using the latest Cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP) in a fully Agile environment, including Scrum, TDD and CI/CD.Hands on engineering using a range of core DevOps tools/technologies including containers (Docker, Kubernetes, Rancher), CI (Jenkins, Bamboo, TeamCity), cloud (AWS, Azure) and source control management (Git, SVN, Nexus).In return for all of that, they are looking for prospective candidates (i.e. you!) to demonstrate some of the following:Proven experience automating operations tasks using languages including Perl, Python, PowerShell and Bash.Experience working with CI/CD tools including Jenkins, TeamCity and configuration tools including Ansible, Puppet and Chef.Understanding of containers (Docker, Kubernetes) and proven experience working with Cloud platforms including AWS and GCP.Experience with IaaC (Terraform, CloudFormation).Experience working in an Agile environment.So if you like the sound of this role and have (hopefully) enjoyed reading my ad then give me a shout!
