Mechanical Test Technician (Nights)

Location: Nailsea

Job Type: Permanent, Full Time

We are currently recruiting a Mechanical Test Technician at a world-leading Engineering company. The company is a major name in the Energy Technology industry. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in electronic and mechanical/hydraulics system testing to join the team.

This role will be a permanent night shift: Monday - Thursday 10:30pm to 7:30am

You will be responsible for -

· Carrying out build and production testing of Subsea Control Modules at systems level and sub-assembly level

· Carrying out cleanliness and pressure testing of hydraulics assemblies

· Carrying out mechanical build of assemblies as well as essential maintenance where applicable

· Providing relevant feedback to help improve products and processes, including First Off Reviews

· Report defects appropriately

You will have the following-

· BTEC Level 3 in Electronics, Mechatronics or Mechanical (or similar relevance)

· Proven track record in test and fault finding of Hydra-Electrical assemblies

· Full understanding of electronic and mechanical/hydraulic schematics

· Good knowledge of software and firmware for products and test equipment

· Any experience in a similar role with similar products will be extremely desirable

· Good ability to work well as part of a team, discussing technical details at any level
