A rare opportunity has arisen for a Lead Solution Architect to join a large Financial Services Group in the centre of Southampton. This exciting opportunity will see you leading Solution Architecture across an international platform through the delivery of architecturally excellent solution designs, and by governing the quality across numerous development teams.

We are a highly successful preferred recruitment partner to our client (the new Head of Technology is on-boarding here via ourselves), we have been asked to source an established leader with a proven track record of IT Architecture within a wide variety of IT functions to fulfil this important vacancy. Role Overview

-Develop, maintain and implement technology roadmap

-Set-up and run a technical design authority / TDA

-Design and implement new target architecture components (high level designs)

-Deliver value in Solution Architecture across all changes

-Outline risks and benefits associated with improvement to IT landscape / architecture

-Approve and agree low level designs for relevant developments

-Own and actively manage the Solution Architecture capability

Experience Required

-Track record within IT Solution Architecture, Enterprise Architecture and Business Architecture

-A proven leader with ability to represent the company internationally

-Experience in variety of functions: Systems Analysis, Development and Project Management

-Experience of Application, Infrastructure, Data or Security Technologies (ideally two or more)

-Knowledge of Financial Services Industry and Regulatory Requirements beneficial

-Working with large contract outsourcing partners

-Developing vision and strategic direction on large initiatives

-Designing, standardising and maintaining assurance practices

-ITIL (ITIL Practitioner), Agile (Agile Practitioner PMI-ACP), TOGAF (TOGAF Certified)
