Location:Nailsea, Bristol
Duration:6 Months
Rate: £60-£70 per hour. Role Summary/Purpose The Systems Engineer has technical responsibility for some aspects of the Execution Phase of a Subsea Project. Reporting directly to the Global SPS Projects and Systems Engineering Manager, and functionally to the SPS System Engineering Manager, this is an important role working in a high-profile function. Essential Responsibilities Engineering and Technical activities will include either ownership, contribution or oversight of one or more of the following (it is not to be intended as full list):Contract Familiarization and to the proper Project LaunchSystem Master Equipment List and Master Document RegisterSystem Management & Design Verification PlansLessons Learned ReviewsSystem Design Basis and Functional Design SpecificationsTechnology Maturity Reviews / Qualification PlansIdentification of Internal / External Interfaces3rd party certification and regulatory compliance programsMaterial selection and Corrosion protection PhilosophyLifecycle Management planTagging PhilosophySystem Integration Testing Philosophy Essential Responsibilities:Taking technical responsibility for contributing to the proper Subsea Project start up and delivery of the System Engineering Requirements and Specifications (Philosophies, Plans, Strategies, etc)Taking technical responsibility for contributing to the delivery of the System Architecture and Detail Engineering (Analysis, Detailed Drawings, Testing Procedures)Taking technical responsibility for contributing to the delivery of the System Verification and Validation and TestingTaking technical responsibility for contributing to the delivery of the Project close out and hand-over to the ServicesQualifications / Requirements:Masters or bachelor's degree in engineering or science-based disciplineAbility to create and lead multi-disciplined, geographically dispersed teamsStrong inter-personal and communication skillsAbility to synthesize information, identify problems, establish facts and deduce solutionsExcellent report writing and presentation skillsFluent English speakerAvailability to travel internationally for project needs and for short term assignments
