£40,000 to £50,000 + Life Insurance + Private Medical + Pension + Holiday + ParkingExcellent opportunity for a Software Developer to join a well-established and secure business that has been designing smart technology for over 60 years.This company are looking for an individual skilled in software development to start their team in a fun and friendly office environment.The ideal candidate will have experience of Gateway development, specific protocols like MQTT, BLE 5.0, EnOcean and ZigBee, IoT cloud services (i.e. IBM Watson, MS Azure…), and Agile Software Development.This is a fantastic opportunity to join an established and growing company offering a great overall package with life insurance, private medical and pension included alongside a very competitive salary in a varied and interesting position.The Role:

- Develop embedded Linux distributions and applications for the company's ARM based range of hardware

- Support and partner with the company's outsourced Software Function

- Conduct feasibility and cost studies of software projects

- Provide support and guidance to the product management function to create complete product solutions

- May be some occasional travel (inside and outside of the UK) required at timesThe Person:

- BS or MS Degree in a relevant technical field

- Proficient in C, C++ and .net C#

- Experience with NodeJS, HTML, CSS

- Experience of GCC/GNU Linux tool chain

- Experience in Linux Networking Configuration

- Comfortable with version control and release management (GIT / SVN)
