Providing support to the Lockheed Martin business areas, our Enterprise Operations division consists of LMUK IT Services, Payroll, HR and Finance functions. We have a fantastic new position for a 2nd Line Desktop Support Engineer to join the team in Whiteley, reporting to the Lockheed Martin UK Desktop Manager. Duties will include:
Providing day-to-day delivery of technical support for end-users of client applications, VOIP telephones, smartphones, tablets, printers and computer hardware
Resolving incidents & requests using Service Central whilst adhering to agreed SLAs where possible
Assisting with maintaining the asset tracking system when required
Participating in project work as required such as software and hardware refresh programmes
Deploying, maintaining and supporting iOS devices
Writing, updating and maintaining written processes and procedures
Travel to support other sites within the UK and potentially globally where required
The ideal candidate will have the following:
Previous technical support experience
Ability to demonstrate a customer first mentality
In depth knowledge and experience of various Microsoft operating systems is essential
Detailed knowledge of supporting the Microsoft Office suite
Self-starter with willingness to learn from colleagues
Experience of basic Active Directory administration
Proven troubleshooting skills via phone, chat or remote desktop
Must be a good team player and able to use own initiative
Must have good problem determination and communication skills
Dynamic and flexible "can-do" attitude
Clean driving license & willingness to travel
