Role: Senior Product Manager - Product Strategy

Location: London

Start Date: January 2020

Duration: 3 months

The Product Strategy team is tasked with shaping our Product Strategy across the various customer-facing units (CFUs) in order to enable us to achieve our vision. This involves collaborating with the CFUs, facilitating them to work together and robustly challenging the thinking to ensure we make the right decisions for the business.

The team is comprised of individuals with a diverse mix of backgrounds (consultants, start-ups, tech), however all team members are highly structured and analytical. The team is outward looking and commercially minded. Acting as a champion for change, they look at things differently and encourage others to do the same.

What I'll be doing - your accountabilities

* Thinking creatively to define group-wide product lifecycle management strategies - what things should we be selling, what shouldn't we?

* Tackling complex business challenges with robust analysis - how do we evolve our product set to take account of new technologies, market changes or regulatory challenge?

* Running 'Agile' sprints to answer key questions quickly and develop tangible output in short-timescales (2 weeks)

* Pitching new strategies to executive management through compelling visual materials and personal presentation

* Advising on contentious pan-business issues

Skills required for the job

* Minimium of 6 years of experience

* Great business judgement

* Very creative, innovative and dynamic

* Highly structured, analytical, and comfortable working with complex data sets and problems

* High level of commercial expertise required including understanding of product P&L, unit economics, profitability and product management

* Insight driven - requires a sharp customer focus and external orientation to bring new ideas and thinking.

* Strong presentation skills, capable of articulating complex ideas with authority and making the case for change particulary in front of Exec level stakeholders

* Strong team player with the ability to lead and influence across the wider business
