Application Packager

Gloucester based

6 Months initially

Rate - £300 per day

We are working with a global leading organisation, a true market leader in the field. We have an urgent requirement for an Application Packager on a successful, long term program of work.

Key Responsibilities:

*Experience in packaging for Windows As A Service (WaaS) - Windows 10.

*Identifying compatibility issues of individual applications with specific OS type.

*Remediating packages to help function within a particular OS type (Windows 10).

*Packaging / repackaging applications as per OS type.

Key Skills & Experience required:

* Experience in packaging for WaaS (Win-10).

* SCCM/XenApp deployment of packaged software to test user/devices, pilot user/devices and full deployment in production including remediation of defects in deployment.

*AdminStudio, APPV, PowerShell Scripting and ability to use InstEd.

*End User Computing, Highly experienced in Windows 7 and Windows 10 Operating system.

* Monitoring of planned deployment including after hour deployment.

* Software shipment to SCCM server for application deployment.

* Health monitoring, remediation and reporting for SCCM/CM servers and windows client in Prod and pre-prod devices.

* Development of software metering report and software licensing report.

* Packaging and deployment of device drivers and certification of hardware.

* OS and application patching for workstation fleet.

* Reporting on license usage on CALs on Windows based desktop, MS Office, O365 E3/E5, VISIO, MS-Project, TPA applications (Oracle JRE, IBM Personal Communications, Teamviewer etc.). Support License True-up activities (SCCMConfigMgr Current Branch).

* LM: End-to-end unused license reclamation activities.

* Perform diagnosis of deployment issues, remediation of defects and RCA for failures in deployment.

This is an urgent requirement on a long term program of work.
