Job Title: Senior iOS DeveloperLocation: Manchester£45,000 - £57,293 What to expect: The iOS Development Team are part of the Connected Technologies and Apps team who are responsible for the development and maintenance of iOS apps that interface to our vehicles directly and indirectly. In both cases, the goal is to bring compelling user experiences into the vehicle that leverage the computing power of the mobile device. In your role, you'll interpret UI/UX designs that encompass both handheld and in-vehicle designs and develop the code that allows these designs and experiences to be realised. Using your expertise and insights, you'll create and perform unit tests of delivered code as well as perform integration tests within our vehicles and work on bug fixing and improving application performance. Collaborative working with the Agile Scrum team will allow you to contribute to sprint planning, sprint reviews and sprint retrospectives. You'll use source control to manage software versioning and peer reviews. You will also support external partners in their development of apps to run on our platforms and create software tools that can be used by external development partners to aid in their development of apps for our connected car platforms. What you'll need In order to be successfull in this role, you'll have strong iOS development experience, with demonstrable or published apps and a deep familiarity with Swift, REStful API's, Objective-C, Cocoa Touch and Cocoa Pods. Experience working with iOS frameworks such as Core Data, Core Animation, Core Graphics and Core Text will also be beneficial. An understanding of Apple CarPlay, and experience with RxSwift and ReactiveCocoa. You'll be required to implement given UI/UX designs using either Swift or Objective C using OOD methodologies . Experience with third-party libraries/analytics and API's usage as well as use as Swift, Apple WatchOS, Continuous Integration is relevant. You will also have some experience in App provisioning, rich UI development, HTTP, JSON, XML, SSL security, sockets, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi as well as App Localisation/Internationalisation, BDD, TDD and Dependency Injection. It is desirable but not essential for you to have some leadership experience, as well as being able to establish and promote design guidelines, best practice and standards whilst contributing to the Agile Development Team through sprint planning, reviews and retrospectives.
