In this Client facing role you will be working with Actuaries, Business Analysts and Data ETL developers understand client data / reporting processes, develop high-level architecture designs and provide innovative DWH Solutions. You be required to: Reengineer and transform data from client sites and systems onto the platform. The data then flows into complex actuarial models and provides financial and actuarial reporting outputs for our clients. Demonstrate a detailed knowledge of modern data warehousing tools and have the ability to interpret and explain complex analytical concepts and solutions to people from other fields.Utilise a bespoke cloud-based application (partnered with MS Azure) to automate data processes for generating input to and analysing output from actuarial models. The platform manages all of the infrastructure behind ETL processes to enable concentration on building the business logic. Work closely with the development team in UK & U.S to provide input on the direction of the product. Engage with the implementation teams, providing technical expertise and leadership. Lead the solution architecture design at client implementations, working to reengineer and transform data from client sites and systems onto the platform Provide technical guidance and thought leadership to the wider team. Design high level architecture solutions Support the team, ensuring there is a clear understanding and that best practices are followed. Work with the Team Manager to ensure end to end delivery to the client Be willing to travel on a regular basis Key SkillsRelevant experience in the insurance industry is essential, with an understanding of financial, actuarial and insurance concepts. SharePoint Analysis Services tabular model and DAX expressions Power BI SQL, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) or equivalent ETL tools Hadoop Map/Reduce, using Hive (desirable) Azure Data Factory - Mapping data flows (desirable)AIA / AFA or FIA / FFA certification is advantageousExcellent stakeholder management and analytical skills Attention to detail, delivering to an exceptional quality. Strong interpersonal skills - the ability to work with a broad range of individuals with different skills and backgrounds.
