SQL Developer - Housing - City of London - Permanent - £43k - £50k Per Annum

The Company

An housing association based in London is seeking an experienced SQL Developer. You will be joining at a time of major change.

The Role

This position will be responsible for the ongoing development of business solutions within the organisation, primarily for Housing and Assets management. Responsibilities

Responsibilities

You will deliver new/enhance existing solutions which are fully aligned with the organisation's enterprise architecture and roadmaps, are fit for purpose from an information security management perspective, and meet delivery, quality and cost requirements and expectations.

Experience Required

*A sound understanding and knowledge of application development and solutions design and delivery, with the emphasis on development, testing and service transition.

*Knowledge of professional software development best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and service operations.

*Solid understanding of MS SQL, including the ability to enhance existing applications through changes to existing or the creation of new tables, views and stored procedures.

*Knowledge of change and incident management process and helpdesk applications.

*Experience of working with in-house development teams, 3rd party application developers and solution providers.

*An aptitude for attention to detail and the ability to maintain effective control over many tasks in parallel.

*Delivery focused, with strong communication and interpersonal skills - customer focussed and collaborative.

*Team player with a passion for technology, best practice and skilled in working within a collaborative environment and across matrixed teams in projects.

*Demonstrable problem-solving skills and the ability to deliver right first time and on-time.

*Aptitude for self-development, especially in terms of developing technical knowledge for new technologies and business applications.

Experience in the Housing sector would be highly beneficial for this position.
